Ray Godin
Poets of Nogojiwanong is a legacy project that seeks to connect our community to local professional poets. It was collected in 2024 as a Peterborough Poet Laureate legacy project.
Ray Godin is a cis gendered middle aged white man living with his partner and two kids in Nogojiwanong Peterborough. For over two decades Ray has performed music and poetry as loudly as he can. Ray consistently overcomes the challenge of waking up and getting out of bed most mornings. His art seeks to put a thousand paper cuts through the belief in normalcy. Four out of five doctors recommend Ray’s art. His work has been compared to getting a needle: painful in the moment but in the long run, good for your health.
