EC3/Artsweek is hiring two positions to assist with the planning and execution of Artsweek 2022. Both positions are funded in part by Canada Summer Jobs, and so are only available to candidates aged 15 to 30 at the start of employment.

A Canada Summer Jobs Employment Opportunity

“Artsweek” (AW) is a biennial arts festival produced and presented by the Electric City Culture Council (EC3).
Reporting directly to the Artsweek 2022 Artistic Producer and EC3 Program Coordinator, the employee will perform a variety of administrative and production duties supporting the planning and delivery of a nine-day, multi-disciplinary arts festival in the City of Peterborough. This is a hands-on job, developing and managing site specific events as part of the festival.
Under the Canada Summer Jobs guidelines, this opportunity is for people who are aged 15 to 30 years (inclusive) at the start of employment. Candidate must be Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a person upon whom refugee protection has been conferred, and who is legally entitled to work in Ontario. This position is being funded in part by the Canada Summer Jobs program, a component of the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy.

This job offers an opportunity to work directly with the Artsweek Festival Artistic Producer, EC3 staff, skilled volunteers and Board members to assist in the design, development and delivery of an Audience Development and Outreach Campaign for the 2022 festival, including a strategic outreach campaign to marginalized communities who have specific barriers to accessing arts and culture experiences and opportunities in Peterborough. This project aims to create a high-profile, vibrant picture of the Artsweek 2022 Festival and change up the audience profile.
