The Peterborough Arts Awards are annual awards established to honour and recognize the excellence and outstanding achievement of professional artists, arts organizations, and arts supporters living and working in our city and county.
Here’s what people are saying about the Peterborough Arts Awards:
“It meant the world for me to be recognized by my peers as Outstanding Senior Artist at the inaugural ceremony in 2018. I was humbled to be given this honour by the Electric City Culture Council. These awards support in an amazing and substantial way the commitment and work of creative artists in the city and region.” Rob Winslow, 4th Line Theatre
“So many wonderfully creative people give their time and energy to the arts in this city, it was indeed an honour to be the recipient of EC3's first Arts Champion Award in 2018. I could ask for nothing more than to be acknowledged as a person who has gained the gratitude and respect of others, who, like me, find the arts a rewarding part of their lives. And the monetary prize that came with the award allowed me to share my good fortune with some of the organizations that have shaped my life.” Beth McMaster
“The Peterborough Arts Awards, organized by the Electric City Culture Council (EC3) and presented at the Mayor’s Luncheon for the Arts, is an annual recognition program that celebrates high artistic achievement and recognizes extraordinary contributions in and to the arts. It has been my great pleasure to champion this initiative to honour Peterborough’s outstanding artists and arts supporters.”
Bill Lockington, LLF Lawyers
“Peterborough has one of the most vibrant arts communities anywhere in the province. These awards recognize that work: the outstanding achievements of our artists, arts organizations and arts supporters. This is the first time we have had the opportunity to come together and applaud the extraordinary talent and hard work of the local arts community and all that it contributes to our lives in this city.”
Bill Kimball, President, Electric City Culture Council (EC3), Executive Director, Public Energy
The Peterborough Arts Awards are produced and presented by the Electric City Culture Council (EC3) a not-for-profit organization serving the Arts, Culture and Heritage sector in Peterborough and the surrounding region.
