ESSENTIAL Photo Project

We just can’t imagine COVID-19 without music, films, images, dance, or books. The citizens of Peterborough depended on the arts to help us endure the pandemic. As lockdown restrictions begin to lift, arts spaces - galleries, theatres, concert halls, and festivals struggle with the complexities of reopening and reimagining their seasons. Artists, presentation organizations, and venues need our support so they can continue creating and sharing work. EC3 commissioned photographer Julie Gagne to capture some of the artists who make our cultural lives so rich, in good times and in bad. Don't forget that the arts got you through the lockdown: art is ESSENTIAL!
