Resources for Survivors of Sexual Violence
EC3 stands in solidarity with people experience sexual harrassment in the workplace and with survivors of sexual violence and assault. We believe you, we support you, and we encourage you to reach out. Help is available.
Local Resources
The following resource list was originally put together during EC3's Conversations on Art in a Pademic (Peterborough Arts Alive on SLACK) program, to accompany Elizabeth Jenkins' poem about sexual harm during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Elizabeth's poem contains descriptions of sexual harm. If you are a survivor, and would like support, you can contact Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre 24/7 by phone at 1-866-298-7778 and text at 705-710-5234.
All numbers operate 24/7 unless otherwise indicated.

National Resources
Not in Our Space! is a national anti-harassment and respectful workplace collaboration campaign developed by Canadian Actors' Equity Association and the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) which seeks to ensure healthy and productive working conditions for all professionals working in live performance across the country.
Respectful Workplace in the Arts is a national project to address harassment in the workplace, including sexual harassment, bullying, discrimination and violence. It includes the Canadian Code of Conduct for the Performing Arts, which has been signed by well over 100 performing arts groups across the country.
Respectful Arts Workplaces
In 2021, EC3, in partnership with the Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre (KSAC) and the Peterborough Community Legal Centre, offered the Respectful Arts Workplaces workshop series, about sexual harrassment and assault in an arts workplace. The page for this workshop series includes a list of links and resources on the topic, as well as other useful resources that we encourage you to explore.
