EC3’s Cultural Incubators are a vital forum and platform for exploring and debating important issues impacting the Arts, Culture, and Heritage sector. They provide information, new ideas, and creative solutions for both individual arts professionals and leaders of arts organizations. The Incubators take an integrated approach that builds capacity for individual artists, for arts organizations, and for marginalized audiences. EC3 takes a holistic approach that calculates that if arts organizations are doing a better job, there are more opportunities for individual artists, arts awareness is enhanced, and audiences grow – which in turn creates more opportunities for more artists. Our Cultural Incubators strategically address identified issues and needs in our community, and provide new approaches, pathways or collaborations to address challenges. The Incubators look for concrete solutions that make the arts sector less precarious and more sustainable. The Incubators also provide opportunities for networking and partnership building. Bringing insightful local people together with external specialists, EC3’s Cultural Incubators fill a distinct need in our community, providing a balanced perspective from the local to the national.
